Sample two different Dickensian Courvoisier Punches with the Courvoisier Dickens Tour!

The links between Charles Dickens and Courvoisier may not be obvious to the casual observer but you might be surprised, to learn, that they are actually inextricably connected! 

We all know that Dickens left us a plethora of tales but not many know that found among his personal artifacts were 18 Dozen bottles of French Pale Brandy labeled ‘Pale Brandy F. Courvoisier’. 

This discovery goes further though. History has it that his most favourite way to sample Courvoisier was to create a punch and this, is why the Courvoisier Dickens Tour has been created!

The hour-long walk will meander the streets of Dickensian London stopping at sites along the way, which have a connection to the author’s life. En route you will have the chance to sample not one – but two different Courvoisier punches. A chilled one to stir the senses at the beginning and a hot one warm the soul – and maybe the hands when you end! 

We meet at the Covent Garden Cocktail Club, 6-7 Great Newport Street, London, WC2H 7JA. Here you will get to sample a classic Dickens Punch based on a recipe created by the great man himself. 

The tour ends with us returning to the Covent Garden Cocktail Club for a warming glass of Courvoisier’s Smoking Bishop – a punch taken from the final scene in Dickens’, A Christmas Carol
